Moment Pickleball is excited to announce its partnership with the University of Colorado (CU) Pickleball Club as their Lead Sponsor. This collaboration aims to foster a thriving pickleball community at CU and support the club's growth and initiatives.
Ben Rothschild, Vice President of the CU Pickleball Club, expressed his enthusiasm:
"The University of Colorado Pickleball Club is thrilled to partner with Moment Pickleball as our Lead Sponsor. Their support empowers us to expand our community, launch new projects, and bring more excitement and growth to the sport we love."
Scott Weiss, CEO of Moment Pickleball, shared: "Our support is more than just being a sponsor. For the club's social members, it provides a healthy way to connect with other students, creating fun memories and hopefully a lifelong relationship with the sport. For the club's competitive athletes, pickleball teaches resilience, teamwork, and composure—qualities that will serve them well, both on the court and in life."
Short-Term Goal: Fostering a Thriving Pickleball Community at CU
The immediate goal of the CU Pickleball Club is to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where players of all skill levels can come together to practice and play.
Moment Pickleball will assist and support CU Pickleball Club’s many initiatives, including:
A. Organizing Social Events and Friendly Competitions:
CU Pickleball Club is working to bring students together for social gatherings, practice sessions, and friendly tournaments. These events will provide an opportunity for players of all levels to engage with the sport in a relaxed, fun environment while improving their skills.
B. Purchasing High-Quality Equipment:
As the club grows, so does the need for quality pickleball equipment. Paddles, balls, and other necessary tools to ensure every player has access to the right equipment to enjoy and improve their game.
C. Funding Travel for Competitions:
For the Club's competitive players, traveling to regional and national tournaments is key to gaining real-world experience and representing The University of Colorado, Boulder on a larger stage.
D. Establish CU as a Force in Competitive Collegiate Pickleball:
The CU Pickleball Club also has an exciting long-term vision—to become a competitive force within the National Collegiate Pickleball Association (NCPA). The NCPA is dedicated to growing collegiate pickleball and organizing events for club-based teams. Although pickleball is not yet an NCAA-sanctioned sport, the NCPA is rapidly expanding, with over 200 universities involved in its events. By joining the NCPA, the CU Pickleball Club aims to compete at the highest level, representing the University of Colorado in regional and national tournaments.
